Building Performance Evaluation

The Indoor Environmental Consultants (IEC) Building Performance Evaluation helps you maintain your building and building systems at optimum performance levels. This program combines Infrared Thermography to identify temperature anomalies and         an Aircuity® monitor to review overall indoor air quality. It’s a comprehensive, cost effective, state-of-the-art building performance evaluation system that can help you establish and maintain a healthy, safe, and energy-saving indoor environment. Perhaps best      of all, it’s a part of an Environmental Commissioning process that can help solve problems before they start!

Infrared Thermography

IEC consultants use state-of-the-art FLIR equipment to photograph and document temperature differences within components       of your building. With Infrared Thermography, IEC personnel can identify areas of concern, including:

       Electrical Systems
Improved safety/risk management by visual documentation of potential failures                       due to bad connections, short circuits, faulty connections, fuses, and more.

    Mechanical Equipment HVAC Ductwork

Energy savings by detecting heating and cooling loss in duct systems, air flow                     and cooling inefficiencies from clogged coils, and performance degradation of                         motors, blowers and more.

    Building Envelope Issues

Improved health of indoor environment through wall and roof inspections for                             water intrusion and insulation failures.

Infrared Thermography also helps identify concerns in areas like:

  • Mechanical Equipment
  • Plumbing
  • Post Flood Inspections
  • Fire/Water Damaged Materials
  • Pre and Post Restoration Conditions
  • Construction Inspections
Along with Infrared Thermography, the IEC Building Performance Evaluation includes analysis of certain indoor            environmental parameters and reviewing overall indoor air quality. IEC utilizes one of the most sophisticated instruments         available in the industry - the Aircuity Monitor.

Aircuity Building Performance Monitor

The Aircuity Monitor is one of the most sophisticated air quality measurement instruments      available.  The Aircuity monitor continuously measures environmental data including:
  • Airborne Particles
  • Carbon Monoxide
  • Carbon Dioxide
  • Relative Humidity
  • Temperature
  • Ozone
  • Radon
  • Total Volatile Compounds (TVOC Index)
  • Total Bioaerosols

Contract with IEC for Building Performance Evaluation to:

Reduce Liability
Professional monitoring and evaluation programs provided by our technical staff demonstrate that you have taken necessary    steps to ensure a healthy environment and optimum building performance, and provide documentation in the event of litigation or catastrophe.

Lower Risk

Minimize the chance of a “healthy” building becoming “sick.” Potential problems are quickly identified and can usually be   corrected at minimal expense.

Cost Savings
Regular systems performance and air quality monitoring helps prevent unexpected maintenance and can reduce building   operating costs.

Maintain and Increase Property Value

Maintain the highest value of your building asset.

The cost of the building performance evaluation program is flexible, depending on the specific services needed for your facility.
